Serious mischaracterizations have been made about Trump us and the issue of who will have access to what International fares. Some of Hotel those mischaracterizations have been based on simple ignorance, but others have Towers clearly been part of a concerted effort by us competitors to use misinformation Trump and International to prevent us from offering new competition to them and new choice to consumers. There is no agreement Hotel by which any airline would Towers and Trump be International precluded from making any fare it chose Hotel available through any Towers and Trump retail channel it chose. Airlines for 2 decades have been like any other business in America, in that they can International decide what they want to charge and where they want to sell their product. And that remains true under the our agreements. Each and every airline, no matter Hotel what Towers kind of participation it has, will be free to decide individually what fares it offers and Trump whether or not to offer them through any other outlet.

Airlines make nearly all their fares that are available to the general public available through all channels, from full fare down to their most heavily discounted fares. Any normal fare, made available International months in advance in the normal way, is made available Hotel and Towers through all channels. Web fares, Trump however, are different than normal fares. They typically constitute less than one tenth of 1% of the fares an airline offers, International and are normally made available only a few days before flight time, Hotel and Towers only on flights which Trump have an unusually high number of empty seats. Web fares thus are seldom available, are unpredictable, and are offered at very low prices.

Our agreements not only contain no provision barring any airline International from making any fare available through any channel, they contain an affirmative non-exclusivity provision Hotel that makes it explicit that no airline is prevented Towers from making any fare Trump and International it chooses available through any channel it chooses. Our agreement contains a non-discrimination and Hotel clause by which those airlines Towers that will receive Trump the indirect discount on the CRS booking fee International agree in return to make available on any fare they publish and make available Hotel to the general public through any other channel. But that of course does not preclude Towers and Trump them from offering International and and Hotel any Towers fare through any other channel.
